I’m often asked why I don’t write a cookbook. The biggest reason is I rarely work off a recipe more than once. I was very blessed to spend a lot of time with my dad in the kitchen when I was growing up. He was always experimenting with flavors and ideas. We ran a Bed and Breakfast offering a unique menu. Dishes like tuna muffins with gravy and sausage apple omelets were big hits, though both sounded a bit strange. Others didn’t make it past initial testing…Herring Benedict was only made once. 🤣
