Betsy arrived at Sisu Farms in the summer of 2026 with 49 of her closest friends as part of our goat-powered weed management program.
And Betsy was a weed-eating fool!
This photo was taken on one of their jobs, where the main course was thistles. Watching goats enthusiastically devour those prickly plants is pretty amazing. How they manage to swallow them with such enthusiasm is still a mystery to me!
Betsy and most of her friends headed back to the Front Range for the winter, but they'll return next summer. A few of her fellow weed eaters have even become permanent Sisu Farms residents.
