Chickens are a big part of life at Sisu Farms. Our WinniEggos travel across the pastures all summer, giving the hens room to roam—and supplying our farm community with eggs year-round.
According to Farmhand 3, every laying hen has a name: Hanna. The occasional rooster is Carl. She started the system while helping with preschool farm tours—apparently telling a group of preschoolers that we hadn’t individually named 1,000 chickens simply wasn’t an option.
Photographer Jay Stewart captured the especially curious Hanna who inspired this bag, peeking out of the WinniEggo as if she had something important to say.
