Ingredients

  • (1 Pack) Hawaiian Pork Bratwurst
  • (1 Tablespoons) Lard
  • (1) Onion-Chopped
  • (1 large or 10 mini) Sweet Bell Pepper
  • (1) Carrot-cut in rounds
  • (Small head) Broccoli
  • (2 Tablespoons) Ketchup
  • (2 Tablespoons) Apple Cider Vinegar
  • (2 Tablespoons) Lemon Juice
  • (1/4 Cup) Coconut Aminos or Soy Sauce
  • (1 Can) Pineapple Chunks-Juice Reserved
  • (1 Tablespoons) Cassava flour or Corn Starch
  • (To taste-optional) Sweetener-Maple syrup, Brown Sugar, Honey
  • (To taste-optional) Garlic Chili Sauce
  • (2 cups) Rice or Cauliflower rice
  • (2 cloves) Garlic

Directions

    1. Prepare Ingredients:
      • Cut the Hawaiian Brats into 1-inch pieces.
      • Slice the onion, bell pepper, and carrot.
      • Mince the garlic.
      • Mix together the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, coconut aminos, pineapple juice, and sweetener in a bowl or measuring cup.
    2. Cook the Brats:
      • In a wok or large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of lard over medium heat.
      • Fry the Hawaiian Brats pieces until browned and cooked through.
      • Remove the cooked meat from the pan and set aside.
    3. Stir-Fry Vegetables:
      • Add the remaining tablespoon of lard to the same pan.
      • Stir-fry the sliced onion, bell pepper, carrot, and minced garlic until the onions are translucent and the carrots start to soften.
    4. Combine Meat and Vegetables:
      • Return the cooked Hawaiian Brats to the pan with the stir-fried vegetables.
    5. Thicken Sauce:
      • Sprinkle cassava flour over the meat and vegetables in the pan, and stir to combine.
      • Pour in the sauce mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.
    6. Adjust Seasoning:
      • Add chili sauce to taste, depending on your desired level of spiciness.
    7. Serve:
      • Serve the Sweet and Sour Pork-Hawaiian Brats over cooked rice or cauliflower rice.
